1. Q: Why can't I hear myself when I'm singing in a karaoke room ?
  A: The voice that you hear during live singing is transmitted directly from your vocal cords to your ear bone through internal ear bone vibration. Therefore it will be totally different from what you hear on CD playback.
     
2. Q: Why does the calculation of per session in 30 minutes ?
  A: Because we allow you to have more flexibility by extending the session in 30 minutes block instead of an hour block. This will definitely save you more.
     
3. Q: What is the difference between recording at home and in the studio ?
  A: Studio have room acoustics and sound proofing to allow minimum noise to travel into the chamber, thus create a better environment for clarity thus sounding more professional. Lastly, if your home setup of $500.00 (recording interface & microphone) can match a $120,000 equipment setup, do what you feel that's good for you.
     
4. Q: Can I record the song with my friends together ?
  A: Yes, you will take turns to record the solo part, and duet or trio part will be recorded together.
     
5. Q: How long will be needed to record a song ?
  A: We don't control the time needed to record a song. Professional artistes take weeks and months to get their tracks done. All goes down to whether you're satisfied in your final product. We serve to your satisfaction !
     
6. Q: Does the studio  keep the copies of our recording and how long does the studio keep them for us to make changes ?
  A: Yes, we will keep your recording with us as long as 12 months. But that only applies to multi track recording.
     
7. Q: What is mastering my music ?
  A: The professional touch in your final sounding and the balance of the volume for different instruments/vocals into commercial media ( eg. CD ) volume level.
     
8. Q: Why does my tracks sound softer than normal CDs ?
  A: Because your tracks are not mastered and the volume are not balanced.
     
9. Q: On an average, how much does per person spends to record a karaoke track from the studio ?
  A: We have a client who are satisfied with a $94 recording session. And we have another client who is only satisfied with her song recorded after 3hours. We don't control this. A good singer might even take longer time because they aren't satisfied with their tracks

The best one almost to perfection had took her 6 hours in 2 days to finish the song. We do what's best for your wallet, do tell us your budget.

     
10. Q: How well can the recording / production be ?
  A: Our engineers and producers put in their best to piece every single product to make every cent double the amount that you've paid for. On another note, the most competitive price for high quality studio equipments. At the rate we're investing in new equipments to deliver better results, we've yet to cover even a 5% of our studio setup.
     
11. Q: Can I record drums in the studio ?
  A: No, but with the current technology, we program drums in the arrangement. Just score us your drums and we'll just have our engineers to get you Metallica or Rolling Stones drum sounds.
     
12. Q: Why should we choose Dreambox Studio ?
  A: We're operating from a SMALL room size of approximate area 200 sqft located in the heart of Singapore Central Business District. Most investments of our studio goes to the equipments. Our equipments are on par with studios on Hollywood Boulevard and Nashville, which produces many platinum records in the United States of America. Our most expensive microphone cost us USD $8000.00 and we have more than a microphone. Recording system cost us more than USD $60,000. That speaks for all. We only give the best to every project, but it's still back to your budget.
     
13. Q: How much production time is needed for songs being heard on radio to work from scratch ?
  A: If only studio time for recording and mixing, you would most probably need a minimum of 50 hours to get a good recording.
     
14. Q: Does Dreambox Studio do arrangement for musicals ? And how much does it cost ?
  A: Yes, our music arrangers had done plenty of arrangements for schools, musicals and commercials. A single instrument arrangement like piano would cost SGD $150.00 without mixing. Simple record and mix would cost an average of $50.00 at least. That makes up to a rough estimate of $200.00. We do have package deals for major productions if needed. For professional arrangement, please do seek for our quotation.
     
15. Q: What payment terms does the studio accepts ?
  A: Cash only for general public, corporate clients who had signed a quotation with us, are to make cheque payment of minimum 50% of initial sum. Subsequent billing will be as per usage. If unsure about billing statement, please do approach our friendly personnel to find out what you've been billed on. We practice black and white. We don't overcharge.
     
16. Q: Woah, why is it so expensive ?
  A: Within studios of our level, we're already at our lowest rates. Our setup do warrant a $80-$120 an hour. Studio equipment doesn't comes cheap. Don't pirate music. Buy original.
     
17. Q: Lastly, why are the FAQs so casual ?
